At the weekend I was lucky enough to be an official photographer at both the World Yoga Festival and the Yoga Garden Party. Both boasted stunning locations and (mostly) glorious weather.

World Yoga Festival

The World Yoga Festival – at Beale Park, near Reading – hosted a number of eminent masters in various aspects of the 8 Limbs of Yoga. The festival, which was in its first year, had an infectiously friendly vibe.

My personal highlight was watching Sri Mooji's satsang. I wasn't alone – the main tent was packed full of people listening intently to this man's pearls of wisdom.

Yoga Garden Party

The Yoga Garden Party is an annual charity event lead by yoga teacher Simon Low in aid of The Hope Foundation. The Hope Foundation works with the street children of Kolkata, India to break the cycle of poverty through education, healthcare and other projects

Every year, a number of the world's leading yoga teachers come together to run workshops at Bore Place in Kent. This family event grows in popularity every year as word spreads about the great atmosphere, excellent teaching, delicious food and wonderful cause behind it all. I cannot recommend enough that you get yourself there next year - a true gem in the annual yoga calendar.
