As small business owners, we find ourselves in charge of many different aspects of our business – many of which we would never have given much thought to before we took the leap. You and I both know all too well the importance of working smart. With that in mind, here is my list of FREE tools for small businesses.

The Importance of Planning Backwards

Many moons ago, I had a boyfriend who would say “I'll plan the day when it's over, that way I know the day will have gone exactly to plan”. At the time, I would laugh fondly, thinking “of course everything would go to plan if you plan it backwards! How could it not?!” As time goes by, I realise how much wisdom there was in this way of thinking...

Taking a look back on this past year

I don't know about you, but I always like to take the opportunity in these weird few days between Christmas and New Year to take a step back and look at how the last year went, and what I want from the one coming.

I always find it extremely useful to spend some time setting intentions for the New Year, for my work and for every other aspect of my life. 4 Things You Need to Nail About Your Brand

Building a brand is one of the biggest and most important you will encounter in getting your business up and running. Starting out on your own is tough, and for the majority of us, we know very little about branding. I have come to a point where whenever I eat anything containing animal products, I feel kinda sick. I also know how my mind works – and that is as soon as I or someone else says I cannot do or have something, that is exactly the thought that creeps into my mind.

I was so keen to be super kind to my body and spurred on by a small community of people doing a juice fast with Causeway Living. It got most of the way through the first day and then I started to feel super drained and realised that it would be a choice of 3 days of fuel for my health or for my business, and was VERY unlikely to be both. So I made a choice that those days would be better spent concentrating on Deha Visuals, at first this seemed to have been a good choice.

Postcard from Koh Phangan

After a couple of weeks of radio silence, I can finally tell you where Deha Visuals is currently located and a little bit about what I am doing. Up till now I have been having a few days to myself to reboot and unplug. This included a few days in Bangkok, an epic train ride and a week or so in Koh Samui.

Yoga Festivals Galore!

At the weekend I was lucky enough to be an official photographer at both the World Yoga Festival and the Yoga Garden Party. Both boasted stunning locations and (mostly) glorious weather.
